Looking for inspiration for your on-farm biosecurity?

The Better Bananas website (Biosecurity for bananas – Better Bananas) now has some great new information for banana growers. Simple, cost-effective measures that reduce the risk of a serious pest or disease impacting your bananas.

With plenty of images showcasing different practices growers have put in place, it is a great place to look for ideas for improving on-farm biosecurity for your farm. There are ideas for zoning, footbaths, footwear exchanges, signage and disinfecting facilities, all tailored specifically for the Australian banana industry.

The National Banana Development and Extension team have compiled these resources to encourage growers to start their own biosecurity journey with simple to apply, no fuss measures. The team is also available to come and visit your farm to help you develop a biosecurity plan, or discuss how you can improve your existing practices.
